ICAR-NBAIR was designated by the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change in 2012 as the national repository for preservation of insects, spiders and mites.

International women's day was celebrated on 8-03-2019 at ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources, Bengaluru. Dr. (Ms) S.
