Honourable Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR, New Delhi, inaugurated the new laboratory complex with five research laboratories, and a farmers training hall of National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Insects (NBAII) at their Yelahanka Campus, where their research farm is located on 16th March 2013. This laboratory complex constructed at a cost of 1.18crore, has ample space for the scientists of NBAII to conduct the farm research trials for the technologies developed in the area of pollination ecology, biological control of crop pests including polyhouse pests, conservation of agriculturally important insects and biodiversity of agriculturally important insects in different cropping ecosystems. The Farmers can be exposed to on-farm field trials and expose to research advancement made through the farmers training hall at this new facility.
